The invention relates to a device for the suspension of a bracket or an eye at the end of a rod, for example on an electric starter. This device has a profiled, hook-shaped body 1 which has a flat piece 4 which is provided with a notch 5 which is in the form of a keyhole and opens over the lower edge 4a of this flat piece. The profiled, hook-shaped body is furthermore provided with two lateral wings 6 which are aligned essentially vertically with respect to the flat piece 4 and are cut out such that each forms a hook 6a in the interior of the section 6b, in which the lateral part 3a of the eye or of the bracket 3 can be arranged. If the flat body 4 is arranged in the groove 2a of the rod 2, its notch 5 is spread such that the rod latches into the circular part 5a of the notch. The end of the rod rests on the lateral part of the eye or of the bracket in the position in order to hold the latter in consequence in the sections 6b of each wing 6. An application of this device is provided, for example, in the suspension of an operating lever of the transmission of an electric starter.
