PURPOSE:To make inexpensively a flow rate control device having a simple constitution, by automatically controlling flow rate with a throttle valve installed to a main pipe and an automatic opening and closing valve installed to a bypass pipe. CONSTITUTION:Cooling water of an air cooler 3 is supplied by means of a throttle valve 7 fitted to a main cooling water pipe 4a and an automatic opening and closing valve 6a installed to a bypass cooling water pipe 4b. That is to say, a necessary quantity of cooling water to be given to the cooler 3 when the output of a generator is at a low level is fixed constant in quantity by the throttle valve 7 and, when the output of the generator increases, the automatically opening and closing valve 6a fitted to the cooling water pipe 4b is fully opened by the signal of a temperature switch 5, so that cooling water is supplied to the cooler 3 by the cooling pipes 4a and 4b. |
