PURPOSE:To reproduce various types of information recording media as desired by controlling each part including external devices which operate with the same clock based on the mode information corresponding to the type of an information recording medium. CONSTITUTION:When a recording medium of a disk player main body 1 is equal to a video disl 101, an address signal demodulating part 111 is actuated by a status information generating circuit 107b, a mode detecting circuit 107a, etc. of a system control part 107. Then a reproduced and demodulated address given from the part 111 is applied to an external control device 3 which works synchronously with the main body 1 with the clock sent from the part 107. An address and a command given from the device 3 based on the address given to the device 3 are supplied to the part 107 to control the desired reproduction of muting, etc. In the case of an audio disk, the part 111 is inactive. Then an address is produced from a reproduced FM signal at the demodulating part of an adaptor part 4 and applied to the deice 3. Thus the reproduction is controlled in the same way. So is with a case where the recordong medium is equal to an ROM109, etc. Then various types of recording media can be reproduced as desired. |
