PURPOSE:To improve the fixability and to stabilize the image density by adding an electrostatic charge controlling agent to toner particles prepd. by dispersing fine powder of a magnetic substance in a waxy compound, softening the toner particles by heating, and sticking the controlling agent to the surfaces of the toner particles with stirring. CONSTITUTION:An electrostatic charge controlling agent is added to toner particles prepd. by dispersing fine powder of a magnetic substance in a waxy compound. The toner particles are softened by heating, and the controlling agent is stuck to the surfaces of the toner particles with stirring. The toner particles are spherical, and they are prepd. by melting the wax contg. the dispersed fine powder and by atomizing and cooling the melt. When the toner particles are mixed with the controlling agent and stirred, the temp. is adjusted to below the m.p. of the used wax. The controlling agent is firmly bonded to the toner particles by said operation, so a stable image is always obtd. even during repeated copying without changing the flowabilty and transferability of the toner as well as the stickiness to a photosensitive body. |
