PURPOSE:To provide an org. photoconductive material having excellent photoconductive performance and useful as a material for a photosensor and a photosensitive part of electrophotography, by mixing a photoconductive resin with a ferroelectric substance. CONSTITUTION:70-0.1wt% ferroelectric substance such as barium titanium or lithium niobate is added to a soln. of 30-99.9wt% photoconductive material such as polycarbonate contg. carbazole or polyvinylcarbazole dissolved in an org. solvent composed of dichloromethane and carbazole or phenylmethane. The mixture is mixed with stirring for several hr. If desired, the mixture is applied to a glass sheet and left to stand, thus shaping it into a thin film. EFFECT:An org. photoconductive material can be obtd. which has such properties that it is an insulator in the dark and retains electric charges on its surface, while when irradiated with light, its electrical resistance is lowered and charges on its surface are rapidly dissipated. |
