PURPOSE:To obtain a silver halide color photosensitive material high in dye forming velocity and max. color developing density in color developing by incorporating a specified cyan dye forming coupler. CONSTITUTION:A silver halide color photosensitive material contains a cyan dye forming coupler represented by the formula shown here in which R<1> is optionally substd. alkyl, aryl, alkyloxy, aryloxy, or heterocyclic; R<2> is optionally substd. alkyl, aryl, alkyloxy, aryloxy, amino, or a heterocyclic or heterocyclic oxy group, preferably, alkyloxy, aryloxy, or amino; R<3> is a group capable of substituting a benzene ring, preferably, H, halogen, nitro, or the like; and X is a group releasable on oxidation coupling with a developing agent, preferably, H, halogen, alkoxy, or the like. |
