PURPOSE:To improve fixability of a toner image by forming a resin layer made of alkali salts or cross-linking divalent metal salts, or a combination of them, or the like of ethylene-acrylic acid copolymer on one or both sides of a base treated with a transparency-giving agent. CONSTITUTION:A resin layer is formed by forming alkali salts or cross-linking alkaline earth metal salts or the like or a combination of the salts of an ethylene-acrylic acid copolymer (PEA) on one or both sides of a base treated with a transparency-giving agent. As said alkali salts, ammonia, NaOH, etc. are used to form salts, and as said metal salts, Ca, Zn, or the like divalent or trivalent metal ions are used to form cross-linked resin, i.e. to form an ionomer. The base treated with such a copolymer is good in water resistance, dimensional stability, and solvent resistance, so good in retouchability of an image, and further, it is good in fixability due to the toughness of the toner adhesion, and prevented from peeling of the toner image. As a result, it can be used as an excellent intermediate original paper. |
