PURPOSE:To make operation more convenient and card account more quick with a card authenticating machine by specifying the account processing content in accordance with the procedure of account indicating operation and card setting operation and simplifying the machine operating procedure thereafter in accordance with the specified account processing content. CONSTITUTION:A display 2, keyboard 3 and card setting section are installed on the upper surface of a machine body. The card setting section is equipped with a groove, through which a credit card is inserted and slid, and the reading head of a card reader is arranged to the groove and card recorded data, such as company codes, membership number, term of validity, etc., are read. The keyboard 3 is provided with a transaction key for indicating the types of account such as a sale, credit, check, enquiry, cancel, etc., a ten-key for inputting a sale, amount of money, etc., and so forth. An account processing content is specified in accordance with the procedure of the account indicating operation and card setting operation. In accordance with the specified account processing content, a series of machine operating procedure can be simplified. |
