<p>The bait composition, which has improved acceptance to rodents and which is easily handled, comprises a mixture of rodent-appealing foodstuff, sufficient water to provide for a rodent's need and desire for moisture, a preservative ingredient in sufficient amounts to prevent foodstuff from deteriorating in the presence of air, an optional thickening ingredient, and a poison.
