Method for preparing a wax-like antiperspirant stick product which is highly coherent and resists crumbling, and has for the principal base components a higher fatty alcohol and a volatile silicone, which comprises adding from about 0.06 to 2 percent by weight of an ingredient, which modifies the crystal formation in the base components. Such added ingredient may be, for example, eicosyl alcohol or stearic acid. The antiperspirant stick as prepared by the method.
