PURPOSE:An additive for mixture of pulverized coal and oil having improved stability and flow properties, consisting of a reaction product of a terminal hydroxyl group of a specific polyether compound and a sulfating agent, etc. CONSTITUTION:The titled additive containing (A) a compound obtained by reacting partly or completely (i) the terminal hydroxyl group of a polyether compound having 1,000-600,000 (preferably 7,000-300,000) molecular weight obtained by adding an alkylene oxide to a polyalkyleneimine (derivative) having 7-200 (preferably 9-100) number of N atoms with (ii) one or more selected from a group consisting of a sulfating agent, phosphorylating agent, organic carboxylic acid, carboxylic acid halide, or anhydride, epoxy group- or vinyl group-containing compound, monoisocyanate compound, alkyl halide, aldehyde, halogenocarboxylic acid, hydrogen halide, and phosphorus halide, or (B) a compound obtained by oxidizing the component i of the component A with an oxidizing agent. as a main component.
