PURPOSE:To obtain a silver halide color photosensitive material having superior fastness to light and heat and sharp absorption desirable for color reproduction by incorporating a specified cyan dye forming coupler. CONSTITUTION:A silver halide color photosensitive material contains a cyan dye forming coupler represented by the formula shown here in which R<1> is optionally substd. alkyl, aryl, or heterocyclic, preferably, optionally substd. alkyl; Y is optionally substd. alkyl, aryl, or heterocyclic, preferably, optionally substd. aryl or unsaubstd. heterocyclic; and X is R<3> is a group capable of substituting a benzene ring, preferably, H, halogen, nitro, or the like; and X is a group releasable on oxidation coupling reaction with a developing agent, preferably, H, halogen, alkoxy, aryloxy, thio, or azo. |
