PURPOSE:To permit a single apparatus to adopt a pellet producing system most suitable for an involved resin whose melt viscosity and physical properties may be varied, by constituting said apparatus such that its system can be changed to an aerial hot cut system, an underwater hot cut system or jet hot cut system. CONSTITUTION:The upper and lower ends of a casing main body 9 are formed with communication holes 9a, 9b to which a casing lower lid 12 and a casing upper lid 13 can be detachably mounted, and airtightness thereof can be maintained. To conform to the cutting system, in case of the underwater cut system, to the casing lower lid 12 is connected a pipe 51 to which water supply means for circulating cooling water in the casing main body 9, and on the other hand in case of the aerial or hot water jet cut system, the pipe 51 is dismounted and the cut resin pellets are allowed to drop into a lower water tank. Similarly, in case of the underwater cut system, to the casing upper lid 13 is connected a drain pipe 52 for draining hot water in which resin pellets are contained and for carrying said hot water to a dehydrator, and in case of the aerial cut system, an air transportation pipe 54 from a blower 53 is connected. In case of the hot water jet cut system, the upper communication hole 91 of the casing main body 9 is closed by a lid body. |
