PURPOSE:To perform vulcanization with good workability when a rubber hose stock is vulcanized with the stock covered with lead, by firmly pressing elongate lead films having a prescribed width onto the circumferential surface of the stock, and welding the united ends of the lead films to cover the stock with the lead films. CONSTITUTION:An inner rubber 2 is fed to an extruder 3 and is covered with an outer rubber to produce a rubber hose stock 4. On the other hand, the lead films 13 that have been molded into an elongate shape with a prescribed width are payed out from an unwinder 13, are abutted against the undersurface of the rubber hose stock 4 by a deflector roll 19 and then are delivered to a drawing machine 14. Then they are drawn through a tapered hole mold 21 of a taper guide 20 so that the lead films 13 are wound around the rubber hose stock 4 followed by molding under pressure, and the united ends of the lead films are welded by a gas burner 15. The obtained rubber hose stock 6 covered with the lead is fed to a vulcanization step, and after the vulcanization, the lead over is removed to obtain the intended rubber hose product. |
