PURPOSE:To produce easily, economically and efficiently a long belt-like partially clad material by supplying and tack welding successively the blanked pieces of a clad metal in the prescribed positions of an unrolled base metal, and passing the metal through rolling and press sticking rolls. CONSTITUTION:The surface of a long belt-like base metal 1 of an Fe-Ni alloy, etc. is subjected to cleaning and activating treatments and is then unrolled. On the other hand, a self-adhesive tape 3 on which blanked pieces 2 of a clad metal of Al foil, etc. are preliminarily stuck in prescribed positions is adhered to the cleaned and activated surface of the metal 1. The metal 1 tack welded with the pieces 2 of the clad metal in the prescribed positions in a way as to avoid their movement is passed through rolling and press sticking rolls 5, 6 via a guide roll 4, by which the partially clad material consisting of the long belt-like base metal 1 rolled and press stuck thereon with the very small clad metals 2 continuously into a spot shape is obtd. |
