PURPOSE:To braze metallic wire rods with high operability in the stage of brazing the wire rods by feeding a specified amt. of a solder rod between the wire rods, gripping the same between the wire rods by means of clamps and conducting electricity thereto. CONSTITUTION:Metallic wire rods 1, 1' to be brazed are gripped respectively by mens of clamps 12, 12' and a power feed means 14 is connected to the clamp 12. A solder rod 2 of a specified length is fed by a solder rod feed means 16 between the materials 1 and 1' and the rod 2 is securely grasped in the end parts of the rods 1, 1' by means of both clamps 12 and 12'; at the same time, electricity is conducted thereto from the means 14 to melt the rod 2, thereby welding the rods 1, 1'. The rod 2 passes through the slider 22 of the means 16 and is grasped by means of a stationary clamp 26 and a movable clamp 28 equipped to a slider 22, then a handle 34 of the clamp 28 is moved in a direction (a) to lower the rod by a length S, by which a specified amt. each of the rod 2 is fed between the rods 1 and 1' and the brazing of the metallic wires is accomplished with excellent operability. |
