PURPOSE:To recover boron and acid for regenerating an anion exchange resin from waste regeneration liquid obtd. by allowing an acid to contact with the anion exchange resin which has been contacted with boron-contg. water, by concentrating the waste regeneration water to deposit boron and then separating solid from liquid. CONSTITUTION:Original boron-contg. water 1 is passed through an apparatus 2 contg. an anion exchange resin to adsorb boron to the resin by ion exchange reaction to reduce boron concentration to <=1mg/l. The treated water 6 released or reutilized. When the anion exchange resin is saturated with boron, a regenerating agent 7 such as HCl is passed to elute the boron adsorbed by the anion exchange resin to obtain waste liquid 8 of the regeneration. The waste liquid 8 is concentrated in a concentration stage 3, the liquid concentrate is cooled to <=30 deg.C in a cooling stage 4 to crystallize boron in the form of boron compd. and to separate from aq. soln. of the acid. The mixture is introduced into a solid/liquid separation stage 5 where boric acid is separated as solid.
