<p>The seed sowing machine which deposits fertiliser (36) and seeds (37) in the same furrow (35) has a digging blade (28) which cuts a T-section furrow. The fertiliser is deposited in the narrow bottom zone (35') and the seeds are deposited in the wide upper zone. The blade is vertical, with a deep upper section and a lower section (34) with a sloping leading edge forming a narrow bottom zone. The fertiliser and seeds are delivered by separate vertical channels (30,31) to fall onto sloping guide surfaces so that the fertiliser is deposited ahead of the seeds. The blades are attached to a structure ahead of a pressure roller by a system of adjustable members so that if a buried object is struck by the blades, the roller is lifted and swings the blades to a higher level. The adjustable members include a parallelogram linkage with an upper horizontal member carrying a spring which assists the tilting movement.</p> |
