PURPOSE:To reduce noise in an intake-air system, which is transmitted through a cap and a casing, by disposing, in the part in the cap opposing an air-outflow port formed in the casing, a buffle plate having an area more than a specific percentage of the opening area of the air-outflow port. CONSTITUTION:An air-cleaner 100 comprises a casing 1 and a cap 2. An air-inflow port 3 and an air-outflow port 5 connected to the air-inlet of an internal combustion engine, are formed in the peripheral wall and bottom wall of the casing 1, respectively. Further, an annular filter element 6 is disposed in a space defined between the casing 1 and the cap 2. An annular vibration damping rubber 8 is fitted in a circular opening 7 which is formed in the cap 7, being aligned with the air-outflow port 5, and a buffle plate 9 is attached to an annular groove 8a formed in the rubber 8. The area of the buffle plate 9 is set more than 65% of the opening area of the air-outflow port 5. |
