The fixture is intended for releasably securing a container (7) to the side of a normal baggage rack (4) over the rear wheel mudguard of a bicycle or moped. A first strip (1) is against the underside of the rack. An L-shaped (10,11) second component, e.g. a bracket (2) has its horizontal portion on the rack and its second portion extending downwards by the side of the wheel. - The two components are secured e.g. via a clamp bolt (3). The downward portion (11) has an upwardly bent hook (6) capable of engaging a loop (9) of a strap (8) secured around the container.
