PURPOSE:To further enhance the thermal efficiency by making one of two heat exchangers into a direct type heat exchanger in which an intermediate thermal medium directly contacts the passing air. CONSTITUTION:The air with a high enthalpy taken from an inlet 5 is cooled while passing through heat exchanging sections 3, 3, and ultimately leaves from an outlet 7 via a demister 6. The air with a low enthalpy taken from an inlet 14 is heated as it retains nearly saturated humidity condition while it passes alternately through a humidifier 4 and heat exchanging sections 8, 8, and ultimately leaves from an outlet 16 via a demister 15. Both the indirect heat exchanging sections 8 8 are connected to a retrieval basin 30 of the first heat exchanger 1 that takes in a high entalpy, and by forming recirculation circuits 17, 17 containing a sprinkler device 32 and the retrieval basin 30, the recirculation is done between both the heat exchangers 1, 2 by a pump 18 in respective circuits 17. As the first heat exchanger 1 which exchanges heat with a high entalpy air is of a direct contact type in which an intermediate medium is sprinkled into a passing air, the heat exchanging efficiency is high and the performance can be improved. |
