PURPOSE:To obtain oxygen-contg. water at a low cost by introducing gaseous oxygen forced into a cartridge into an exchanger to expel successively the water existing between the water inlet and outlet and meshed part in the exchanger to the outside of the exchanger then stopping the gaseous flow and applying a difference in water pressure on the bottom surface of a gaseous material. CONSTITUTION:A prescribed volume of water is put into a vessel 1 to submerge an exchanger 2 therein. A plug 13 is preliminarily removed in this stage and is replaced when the releasing of air ends. When a carridge 8 for gaseous oxygen is opened by a cutter 6 and a stop valve 12 is opened, the gas is decreased in the pressure by a pressure reducing mechanism 9, and is introduced through a communicating path 11 and a passage 5 into the exchanger 2. The gas entering the exchanger 2 is blocked by a meshed part 3 and fills the inside of the exchanger 2 expelling the water in the exchanger through a lower inlet and outlet 4. The inflow of the gas is here stopped by the valve 12. The gas contacts the water in the part 3 and is dissolved in the water.
