PURPOSE:A ring made of sintered metal is equipped in the balloon-restricting cylinder and a lubricant is always applied onto the inner wall of the cylinder by utilizing the capillary effect of the sintered metal to buffer colisions and contact friction to balloon restrictor and prevent damage to the yarn. CONSTITUTION:The yarn Y is pulled out of the package P, passed through the guide 6 and made to slide on the inner surface 10 of the ring 8 to effect the application of the lubricant 18, then made to run on the inner wall of the balloon restrictor 3. The lubricant 18 comes by the capillary phenomena from the vessel 17 through the string 12 to all over the periphery of the ring 8 which is made of sintered metal and the capillary effect of the sintered metal makes always the inner surface 10 of the restrict lubricate. Since the ring 8 has a certain vertical width enough to apply the lubricant to the yarn, the yarn damage and formation of static electricity caused by friction of the yarn to the balloon restrictor 3 are prevented surely.
