PURPOSE:To automatize easily and accurately the discharge test of a storage battery by controlling the connection between a charger and the storage battery, switching of the connection between the storage battery and an actual load or a test load, recording at intervals of output voltage and current of the storage battery. CONSTITUTION:A switch 3 is controlled through a controller 7 of a DC power supply device 10 to not only disconnect a storage battery 4 from a charger 2 but also record the voltage and the current for discharge of the battery 4 passing through voltage and current converting circuits 5 and 6 at intervals of a prescribed time. During this time, a switch 12 is controlled also through the controller 7, and a test load 13 is selected instead of an actual load 11. After this discharge state is continued with a sufficient margin left in the remaining capacity of the battery 4, the battery 4 and the charger 2 are connected by switches 3 and 12 through the controller, and the load 11 is selected instead of the load 13. Thus, the discharge test of the storage battery is automatized easily and surely.
