Automatic scraper chain tensioner

The scraper chain (10) tensioner has a first roller (18) on a first shaft with a pair of bearings, one located adjacent each end of the shaft (26) for permitting rotation of the first shaft and the first roller. - A second roller (20) has a second shaft and a pair of second bearings for permitting rotation of the second roller. An endless belt encircles both the rollers. A drive causes rotation of the rollers. The first shaft is mounted so that it is movable transverse to the axis of the shaft. A hydraulic system forces the shafts apart. (1/2)
