PURPOSE:To provide the titled ink which is excellent in solubility and gives a clear printed image which is not blurred and has good resistance to light, water and wear, by incorporating a specified dye. CONSTITUTION:The titled ink contains at least one member selected from dyes of formula I and II (wherein R1 is H, alkyl, OH, a group of formula; R2 is alkyl, a group of formula IV; R3 is H, alkyl, OH, halogen, a group of formula III or IV; M is an alkali or amine cation, or ammonium ion; n, m are each 0, 1-3 with the proviso that when n or m is 2 or 3, R1, R2 may be the same or different groups and the sum of the groups of formulas III and IV is at least 2) such as compds. of formulas V and VI. A clear printed image which has good resistance to water, light and wear and is not blurred, can be obtd.
