PURPOSE:To obtain easy and less-costly assembling of an automatic warehouse by joining side by side a plurality of box-shaped units in which a crane traveling part and shelves are provided and whose size permits portability, in the vertical or horizontal directions. CONSTITUTION:This box-shaped unit 10 is provided with a box-shaped member 1 that is formed into a rectangular shape of portable size and connecting parts 5 are provided at its both-end opening parts 4. A crane traveling part 2 on which a storing crane 7 travels is provided at the middle part inside the box- shaped member 1, while shelves 3 in the form of more than one step are arranged on the both sides of the member 1, neighboring the traveling part 2. The said units 10 form an automatic warehouse by, for example, joining a plurality of the units 10 via the connecting parts 5. At this time, elevator equipment 20 is installed at the opening 4 on the right side, while a side wall board 6 is attached to the opening 4 on the left side. The elevator equipment 20 is provided with a hoisting/lowering crane 12 so that cargoes can be shifted between the crane 12 and a storing crane 7 via a transferring device 14. |
