PURPOSE:To provide a paint for bonding a metallic member/polyolefin resin layer, which is suitable for use in coating a crown cap and gives an excellent bond strength, by incorporating polyethylene oxide powder having an average particle size larger than the film thickness of base resin in a base resin. CONSTITUTION:Polyethylene oxide powder 2 having an average particle size larger than the film thickness of base resin 2 is incorporated in a base resin 2 such as an epoxy/phenolic resin or a phenol/urea resin to obtain the desired paint 3 for bonding a metallic member/polyolfein resin layer. This paint 3 is applied to, for example, a tinplate sheet 4 in a predetermined thickness in such a manner that part of the polyethylene oxide particles 1 is protruded from the coating film of the base resin 2 and part of the particles 1 is in contact with the sheet 4. The paint 3 is then dried and the sheet 4 is molded into a crown cap shape A polyolefin resin disk 5 is put onto the inner surface of the crown cap, fused and bonded by pressing, thus obtaining the desired crown cap.
