PURPOSE:To perform efficient image recording with small-sized constitution by applying and sticking toner uniformly on the magnetized material layer of a recording medium with a magnetic force, heating the medium by a heating head according to a recording image, and transferring the heated toner to recording paper. CONSTITUTION:The magnetized recording medium 1 is driven by rollers 4,5,-7 as shown by an arrow A. The toner 9 in a hopper 8 is attracted to a toner coater roller 11 through the operation of a magnet 10 to form a uniform toner layer by a doctor blade 12 through the rotation of the roller 11 shown by an arrow B. When this medium 1 reaches the heating head 14, the heated part of the medium 1 decreases in sticking force based upon the magnetization force of the toner 9 and its starting sticking force is maintained. Then, a transfer device 15 is impressed with a voltage having the opposite polarity from charges of the toner 9 by a power source 16 and the toner 9 is attracted to the device 15 to obtain a desired toner image on recording paper 17. The toner image on the recording paper 17 is fixed with pressure or heat by a fixing device 17 to obtain an image output. |
