<p>PURPOSE:To feed a sheet without a skew or slippage by bringing a sheet into contact with the second paper feed roller to form a loop, temporarily reversing the second paper feed roller, and rotating the roller forward again to transport the sheet. CONSTITUTION:The first paper feed roller 22 starts rotating with the start of paper feeding operation to feed out one sheet of stacked sheets 21. The sheet 21 is brought into contact with a pair of second paper feed rollers 24, 25 which are stopped to form a loop and is stopped. At this time, if the leading edge of the sheet 21 is brought into contact with a nip portion between the rollers 24, 25 correctly 23, the sheet 21 is transported to the next process at a correct angle timely with the start of both rollers 24, 25. If the leading edge is not correctly brought into contact with the above nip portion 23', however, the sheet is unpropperly transported by both rollers 24, 25. In order to cope with such trouble, both rollers 24, 25 are temporarily reversed to correct the state of the sheet 21.</p> |
