PURPOSE:To enable the preparation of folded laver boundle having high quality, by using plates for clamping and intermittently transferring a laver bundle, a plate for folding and lifting a laver bundle and inserting the bundle between said transfer plates by the vertical reciprocating motion, a means to clamp the laver bundle during the ascending motion of the lifting plate and attached to the top of the plate, and a means for opening the transfer plates and attached to said clamping means. CONSTITUTION:The central part of the laver bundle 11 is lifted with the plate 6 for folding and lifting a laver bundle, and the bundle is inserted between the plates 5, 5 to clamp and intermittently transfer the folded laver bundle. The boundle 11 is folded in two by this process. Since the central part of the boundle 11 is clamped with the arm 9 to the top of the lifting plate 6, the shift of the bundle 11 can be prevented and both ends of the folded laver bundle can be neatly arranged. Furthermore, since the transfer plates 5, 5 are opened by the opening means in the course of pushing up the central part of the laver bundle 11 with the lifting plate 6 into the gap between the transfer plates 5, 5 to fold the central part of the bundle, the catch of the laver bundle 11 to the lower end of the transfer plate 5 can be prevented, and a high-quality folded laver bundle 11 free from damage can be obtained. |
