PURPOSE:To prevent jamming in a paper stacker with a blade wheel, by stopping the conveyance of paper just upstream to an entrance to the blade wheel when the period of the conveyance and the position of the blades of the wheel has become uncoincident with each other due to the wrong engagement of a timing belt with a pulley. CONSTITUTION:Paper 2 sucked by a suction port 3 and sent out into a conveyance passage 4 is received by a blade wheel 6 rotating in connection with driving in the conveyance passage and is then dropped and stacked on a rest 9 by about three quarters of one rotation of the blade wheel in a paper stacker. A detector 5 for the paper 2 is provided near the downstream end of the conveyance passage 4. A detector 8 for the slit of a timing disc 7 integrally provided on the shaft of the blade wheel 6 is provided to detect the position of the blades of the wheel. A paper pass signal from the detector 5 and a blade position signal from the detector 8 are compared with each other for discrimination to control a driver for the conveyance passage 4. |
