PURPOSE:To prevent a white streak from being generated on a thermal recording medium due to the presence of a divisional boundary part and enable to record images with favorable image quality, by providing an auxiliary heating resistor between a plurality of heating element groups. CONSTITUTION:When printing lines by divisionally driving a plurality of heating element groups 20A, 20B consisting of a plurality of heating elements 12 arranged in a line form on an insulated substrate 11, the auxiliary heating element 15 is provided between the heating element groups 20A and 20B, preferably in the manner of connecting the heating resistors 12, 12 provided at faced ends of the groups 20A, 20B. EFFECT:Each time the heating resistor groups 20A, 20B are individually driven, a shunted driving current is supplied to the auxiliary heating resistor 15 to generate heat, so tha color is developed also at the divisional boundary part. |
