Upper leaves (5, 7) are arranged so as to be adjustable in height and inclination on a support frame consisting of supports (3, 30, 4) and end units (1, 2) having legs (1). The rear edge (50) facing away from the user is adjustable in height due to the fact that the relevant leaf region rests on brackets (11) which are adjustable in height on a rear support (4). The height adjustment of the front edge of the leaf takes place by spacers (12) which are to be arranged optionally between the upper leaf (5; 7) and the front support (3) or a lower leaf (6). Each upper leaf (5, 7) can be displaced transversely to the rear support (4) in order to make a cable rack (15) accessible. A rubber seal (51) at the rear edge (50) of each upper leaf (5, 7) allows the cable to pass through without any files being able to slide off through the corresponding gap. By means of this gap, accessories (8, 9) can also be mounted on the rear support (4). Other accessories (10) can be plugged on below the spacers (12). Cables can likewise be led out of that area. The lateral gaps between the leaves (5, 6, 7) which vary in height and inclination can be closed by lateral covering strips (18) in order to prevent files from slipping off. <IMAGE>
