<p>The method consists of engaging one of the shaped sections into a slot fashioned in the other section, and then locking the latter using cotters comprising a rod with a thinned segment on part of its periphery. Each cotter is inthroduced by a simple sliding action into a hole, with its thinned part contacting the shaped section, and then is made to pivot to ensure locking. To facilitate the rotation of the cotters, each one is provided with an extension misaligned from the rod, for instance, at a right angle to the rod. The pivoting motion is easily ensured by maneuvering the extension to bring it near to or to rest against the wall of the first, shaped section.</p> |
