PURPOSE:To obtain an excellent thin film-like magnetic recording medium having no wrinkles, by installing a coming in side roller which runs in parallel a tape-like substrate around a can roller and, at the same time, installing a pressure roller which is located toward the coming in side roller from a point where the tape-like substrated is wound around the can roller at the time when the pressure is released. CONSTITUTION:A tape-like substrate 16 which is guided by a coming in side roller 12 and coming out side roller 13 runs along the peripheral surface of a can roller 11 as the can roller 11 rotates. The tape-like substrate 16 which is guided by the coming in side roller 12 is heated by the radiant heat of the can roller 11 which is maintained at a high temperature while the substrate 16 runs between the in-side roller 12 and can roller 11. A deformation of the tape-like substrate 16 caused by an abrupt temperature change generated when the substrate 16 contacts with the roller 11 is decreased by the preheating, and by pressing the substrate 16 against the roller 11 under this condition with the pressure roller 18. |
