The device for distributing solid supports comprises, between a dish forming the base 1 and a cover 4, an intermediate assembly consisting of a perforated rigid plate 5 covered with an easily perforable material 6 in which are trapped the solid supports to be dispensed; the material 6 is perforated, when required, in order to apply the solid supports 3 onto the surface of the culture medium 2 of the dish 1, by means of pushers 7 provided inside the cover 4 and which are directed downwards in the direction of the dish 1. Application to the determination of microbial sensitivity to antibiotics and to the identification of microorganisms. <IMAGE>
