摘要 |
PURPOSE:To enable the dry quantitative analysis of total bilirubin, by protecting a diazonium salt with an acidic binder. CONSTITUTION:A multi-layered analytical element for the qualitative analysis of bilirubin comprises a laminate consisting of a porous reagent layer containing a diazonium salt capable of forming azo-bilirubin by the reaction with bilirubin and an acidic binder, a water absorbing layer for absorbing an excessive amount of a liquid component and a liquid impervious and light pervious support. The water absorbing layer enhances the concn. of the analyte in a liquid to be inspected diffusing throughout the reagent layer by absorbing the solvent of the liquid to be inspected without penetrating said analyte and is a layer having effect for enhancing the reaction efficiency of the high M.W. analyte and a indicator by said property.
