PURPOSE:To attain precise figure input efficiently by forming a figure discriminating device decomposing and discriminating an original figure automatically at every logical figure unit and allowing an operator to discriminate an undiscriminated part by the discrimination device and input the discriminated result conversationally. CONSTITUTION:A figure to be drawn as an objective figure is converted by a figure binary-coding picture device 1 and stored in an internal picture memory. The stored binary-coded picture signal is supplied to the figure discriminating circuit 8, decomposed and discriminated in each logical figure unit and converted into picture data consisting of a logical figure kind code and positional data. The figure data are stored in the figure memory in a figure conversation input processor 2. The original figure picture and the obtained figure data are superposed and displayed on a figure display device 5. The operator compares these display and inputs the figure data of the undiscriminated part conversationally by using a figure conversation input device 6 until the figure data is made coincide with the original figure by display figure switching devices 3, 4.
