PURPOSE:To obtain an image pickup device with good image resolution and good color separation by providing a delay circuit to an output by each color and giving a time offset corresponding to spatial position offset of each picture element to a signal of each color to extract an objective signal output. CONSTITUTION:An interlace scanning circuit 13 distributes a vertical scanning pulse being an output of a vertical scanning circuit 11 to vertical gate lines G1- Gn. In a certain field, the 1st vertical scanning pulse is impressed to the vertical gate lines G1, G2 at the same time, and the 2nd vertical scanning pulse to the vertical gate lines G3, G4 at the same time thereby selecting pair A, pair B.... In the next field, pair alpha, pair beta... are selected. When the two rows of the G1, G2 are selected, photodiodes A11, A12 selected by the G1 in the 1st timing phiH1 and the photodiode A21, selected by the G2 are read at the same time, and since the A21, A12 are shifted by 1/2-pitch and 1-pitch respectively viewed from the photodiode A11, the output signal is delayed. |
