PURPOSE:To obtain a magnetic head using a magnetic alloy thin film with a good mass-production property by joining the head core half body blocks formed by a prescribed method, forming a joined block, and cutting it. CONSTITUTION:Plural grooves 30 having a surface inclined by an azimuth angle theta against a normal are formed in parallel on the upper face of a substrate block 28 consisting of a non-magnetic ferrite. A magnetic alloy thin film 31 is stuck to the upper face of the substrate 28, and the groove 30 is packed by melting a glass 32. In this case, an upper face 33' of a composite block 33 is ground and polished specularly until the non-magnetic substrate 28 appears. Magnetic head core half body blocks 34, 34' are prepared by cutting the block 33 from a two point chain line part, and a winding window use groove 35 and joining grooves 36, 36' are provided on one block 34. Magnetic heads 40, 40' are obtained by sticking SiO2 to gap butted surfaces 37, 37', welding and joining the blocks 34, 34' through a joining groove 36 packed with a glass, and thereafter, cutting a one point chain line part. |
