Bis-indole alkaloid derivatives, process for their preparation, and pharmaceutical compositions which contain them

Novel bis-indole alkaloid derivatives of the general formula <IMAGE> in which X denotes a f-bond between the adjacent carbon atoms or an oxygen atom, and their physiologically tolerable acid addition salts and a process for their preparation are described in which the Nb oxide of catharanthin is coupled with 6,7-dihydrovindoline-3,6-ether in a reaction of the Polonovski type and, if desired, the 6,7-dihydro-3%,4%-anhydrovinblastine-3,6-ether obtained is epoxidised. In addition, pharmaceutical compositions having cytostatic action are disclosed.
