PURPOSE:To control the moving direction and speed of a cursor and to improve the operability of a cursor moving key switch by detecting the displacement due to the operation of a key top and converting the detected result into an electric signal. CONSTITUTION:In the cursor movement controlling key switch 5, spherical operation transmitting balls 6 and plate spring contacts 7 are arranged around a key top part 51. If the key switch 5 is pushed in the direction to which the cursor is to be moved, force is applied to both the plate spring contacts 7x, 7y and a CPU determines the moving direction in accordance with the rate of the components of force. When the key switch 5 is pushed strongly, spring contacts 71, 72, 73 are contacted with spring contacts 72, 74, 76 successively and the CPU determines the moving speed on the basis of said contact information.
