Single-lever mixing battery to be connected to a low pressure water heater

In the mixing battery, the regulation of the cold and hot water takes place by means of two cooperating ceramic plates provided with openings. The mixing battery is connected to a low pressure water heater such that only cold water flows to the mixing battery, and a portion of it is conducted directly to the outflow for the mixed water by means of the regulating plates, while a portion of water of desired volume is conducted via the water heater and back into the mixing battery and to the outflow for the mixed water. In this form of application the problem arose with the already known lever mixing batteries that the construction of the "normal mixing battery" had to be considerably altered in order to limit the flow pressure resulting in the heater. This is avoided according to the invention in that an inlet seal is arranged at the cold water inlet point and is equipped with an elastic component which alters its shape in dependence on the flow pressure of the water flowing in and which limits the inflow opening and prevents the occurrence of an excessive pressure in the water heater.
