The proposed semi-automatic screwdriver has a releasable coupling between handle 1 and tool shank 8 in such a way that the shank 8 is connected in a rotationally fixed manner to a driver 7, which for its part has a spur gearing 72 which interacts with a spur gearing 41 of the handle 1. By pressure on the handle 1, the spur gearings can be brought into engagement against the action of a spring 5, whereby the rotational transfer from the handle to the shank 8 takes place. <IMAGE>
