Storage installation for concrete or ceramic briquettes arranged on bases (4) such as pallets, with a storage framework (1) in which a plurality of rows of endless conveyor chains (2) are arranged in pairs next to one another and above one another in a plurality of tiers, on which conveyor chains (2) the bases (4) can be transported intermittently by the storage framework in the longitudinal direction of the chain. On opposite transverse sides (1a) of the storage framework (1) a charging and discharging device (3) is movable at right angles to the longitudinal direction of the chain, which devices each have at least one vertically movable lifting fork (8), a plug-in punch (12) which engages with the base (4) or the like respectively resting on the lifting fork (8) being provided on the charging device (8). A multiplicity of cams (15) which project beyond the conveying level (E-E) of the chains are arranged on each conveyor chain (2), the distance (a) between these cams (15) being slightly larger than the length (1) of a base (4). <IMAGE>
