The drum (2) may be rotated by a driving device (3). It is connected to a fan by an air stream distributor (4) arranged between a rotary part (23) secured to the drum and a motionless part (25) carrying the connection gaskets and washers (26, 32) for the suction and pressure. The drum (2) is supported on the base plate (11) of the machine frame (1) by means of supports (14, 16) provided with a free bearing (15) and a fixed bearing (17). Both bearings present a rotary link formed by a light rolling bearing connected to a support (43, 45) capable of rotating in all directions. The outer part (25) of the stream distributor (4) is connected by a disk (69) on a cardan hinged ring to the fixed bearing (17). Thereby, the inclined position taken by the drum hubs (36, 57) under the effect of the length and the load is compensated. The drum is of a simple construction and enables to obtain good sealing characteristics of the connection surfaces of the stream distributor (4) and of the obturations. High production levels at reduced costs, also with air circulation operation, particularly inside the casing containing the drum, may be obtained. |
