Catch devices are preferably used for joining plastic parts without screw connection. In this case, a catch hook formed at the free end of a resilient tongue is introduced into a receptacle, within or behind which the catch hook is anchored. The invention provides a solution which is simpler in terms of injection technology and improved in its application in that, for a body (21) composed of elastic material, it provides for the catch device a round or polygonal spring ring which is closed and is held via webs (22). Thickenings, projecting beyond the surface of the body (21), are moulded as catch hooks (26) onto the segments of a spring ring (23) located between two webs (22). The segments of the spring ring (23) located between two webs (22) are loaded both in terms of bending and in terms of torsion during engagement. <IMAGE>
