The present invention relates to the area of stomatology. The dental composition according to the invention for the treatment and prophylaxis of caries in the form of granules consists of an abrasive, tartaric acid, sodium bicarbonate, a foam-forming substance, a flavouring, a binder and an anticaries agent which is a product which is prepared by treating bone tissue with a dilute mineral acid until dissolution of mineral components and water-soluble proteins, which the bone tissue contains, is complete, by separating the prepared solution, diluting it with water with the addition of citric acid or its salts as stabiliser and subsequently neutralising the solution and drying. The composition according to the invention is used for daily care of the oral cavity and with the aim of preventing inflammation in disorders of the periodontium and for the anaesthetic action for hyperaesthesia of solid dental tissue.
