The guide element has a body made of deformable material, in particular plastic, with a slot for receiving a seat belt strap and a bore for receiving an attachment element. A core with a slot and a bore are embedded in the body for the purpose of reinforcement, the edges of said bore being covered by the deformable material which forms the edges of the slot or of the bore of the body. The core is formed by an essentially planar reinforcement plate which is oriented at an acute angle with respect to the axis of the bore of the body.
